Start with the tutorial
Finish the tutorial before anything else: it gives you a free egg, so your first pet costs nothing. Then redeem the working codes for 300 Lumens, a free revive and the Dusty Moth pet.
Spend Lumens on eggs and your lantern
Lumens are the main currency, and they go to two things:
- Eggs, which hatch pets that boost Lumens, pickup, speed or health.
- Lantern upgrades, which decide how deep you can go.

Lantern level unlocks cave layers
There are 4 cave layers. Your lantern level decides which you can enter:
- Level 1: layer 1
- Level 5: layer 2
- Level 10: layer 3
- Level 20: layer 4
Watch out at night
At night, caves have twice as many monsters. Keep that in mind before you head deeper; the free revive from code HOLLOWDAY1 helps if things go wrong.
Team up to share Lumens
You can form a team of up to 4 players, and the team shares Lumens, so friends can pool what they collect.
